Fence line clearing around Cincinnati
A fence goes in faster and lasts longer on a clean line. We mulch the briars, vines and saplings out of the way so your fence crew can get to work.
Great for
- New fence installs
- Fence repairs
- Property boundaries
Clearing for a new fence
Fence installers lose time fighting brush. When the line is already open, they can walk it, set posts and stretch wire or hang boards without stopping to cut their way forward.
We clear a strip along the planned line and mulch everything in place. There’s no brush to drag away, and your installer gets a clean, drivable path if the ground allows it. Ask your fence crew how wide they want it, and we’ll match that.
Getting to an old fence
Old fences disappear. Trees grow through the wire, vines pull the posts over and multiflora rose fills in both sides. Before you can fix it or tear it out, somebody has to find it.
We can open the line back up so you can see what’s worth saving. One thing to know: old wire and posts hidden in brush are hard on a mulching head, so tell us about any fence you know is in there, and we’ll work around it carefully or plan to have it pulled first.
Know your line first
Overgrown fence rows often sit right on a property boundary, so clearing one can affect your neighbor too. It’s worth having the line staked by a surveyor if there’s any doubt, and a quick talk with the neighbor saves a lot of trouble later.
Once the line is settled, we’ll clear to it and no further.
Pricing fence line work
Jobs start at $2,500, which covers one full crew day. A crew day can cover a lot of fence line, so long runs are a good fit. On a shorter run, it often makes sense to clear the back corner, a trail or an overgrown patch on the same day. Tell us everything that’s bothering you and we’ll make the day count.

Common questions
How wide of a strip do you clear?
It depends on what your fence crew needs and what’s growing there. We’ll set the width with you before we start.
Can you clear around my existing fence without damaging it?
We can usually get close, but tell us where it is and what shape it’s in. Wire buried in brush is the main hazard, so we go slowly near it.
Can you install the fence too?
We handle the clearing. Your fence contractor takes it from there.
